Abstracted Wisteria
the dream-child moving through a land…of wonders wild and new
Lewis Carroll
Painted completely within Inkscape - January, 2024
This was inspired by the poem by Lewis Carroll at the beginning of Alice in Wonderland:
the dream-child moving through a land
of wonders wild and new
This started as an abstracted wisteria painting. But evolved into a more mystical design.
The flowers in the print appear to be raised, above the vines. This is a new technique that I developed in vector graphics.
A single print, what I call a monoprint, was created: 1 print - 36" x 24".
The print was made on Red River Paper’s Palo Duro Etching #315 - which has a sandy texture.
Two smaller “footprints”, 12” x 12” were also made
Price includes frame and high end acrylic which reduces fading from sunlight and minimizes reflection.
Digital prints and larger sizes are available - contact me for more information.
