Printed on very thin Japanese Washi paper - meeting archival standards
We attended a wedding at Emerald Isle, outside Wilmington, NC.
There were small snails crawling along the beach - I decided to paint one of them larger than life.
Japanese Washi paper is extremely thin 25 grams/sq. meter - compared 75 grams/sq. meter for copier paper.
This presents feeding problems for the printer and softens the finished art.
But it allows the fibers from mulberry trees to shine through the paper and become part of the art.
The Atlantic Snail incorporates the fibers as part of the finished piece.
This was printed in a 12" x 12" format - which is called a "footprint".
Price includes mat, simple frame, and Optium Museum Acrylic for UV protection and reduced glare.
