I was reading online about a London exhibit by the artist Shara Hughes and saw a few of her paintings.

I’ve done a series of plant paintings, and had entertained making more fantastic backgrounds.

She inspired me to plunge forward - Mystical Plant #1 is the first in a series.

This plant is actually a yellow plumeria, painted against an imaginary sunrise.

There is only one print with dimensions of 20” height x 16” wide.

It was printed on Red River Paper’s Palo Duro paper in order to highlight the colors and give it more vibrancy.
