Two Lovers Abstract
17” x 29” on paper made from cellulose fibers - created with very high archival standards
Painted completely within a vector graphics program called Inkscape - April, 2023
I experimented with the yoga pose called Natarajasana. But was not completely happy with the results.
I remembered a black ink drawing that we owned by Hans Arp which was a free form abstract - done during the Dada Art period.
It was a good idea but a little too random for my taste, but the concept was good.
I switched the background to an abstract mode - incorporating some of the design from the pose into the painting.
This is now a free form abstract, almost a Rorschach, where one can see other things.
Beyond the yoga pose, one can visualize 2 lovers kissing with a heart underneath, as well as a tulip in profile.
1 print was finished.
